The first cohort of the incubation program “Cohort 2020: उद्यमी विकास कार्यक्रम १” consisted of five ventures participating in the ‘DEMO Day’ program. The incubation program was conducted amid the COVID Pandemic through the combination of virtual and physical sessions (hybrid mode) and culminated in the DEMO Day program which was conducted physically on December 18, 2020 between 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at BIC Conference Hall. A total of five ventures pitched their business ideas among the audience of 50+ industrialists, entrepreneurs and professionals of Chitwan district. The panel of Jury Members constituted of the Mr. Raju Poudel, the Chairperson of Chitwan Association of Industries, Ms. Bahar Kumar, the Director of Nepal Communitere, and Mr. Sixit Bhatta, the Chief Executive Officer and Co-founder of Tootle. The program witnessed the valuable presence of the Founder Director of Skill Lab (also our incubation partner) Mr. Nanda Kishor Mandal.

The five pitching teams were:

DEMO Day Highlights and Seed Fund Winners
Among the five teams, two ventures Creative Deal Urban Farming and Sarwottam Mushroom Farm won the seed fund and became the first ever ventures to receive ‘Seed Fund’ from BIC Startups, Boston International College. The program was the first ever program of its kind in the history of Boston International College.
